Lots of action in the downtown zone of Saint Paul. The World Juniors is being hosted by the Twin Cities - action in Saint Paul and the University of MN.
Another warmish day today before the snow and cold makes another visit. Been very grey and gloomy for the last several days as well - but didn't slow down the early birds at all the activities for the hockey.
For all the early winter we have had we lucked out for Christmas to get some warmer and easy travel days. Gathered a few and even got Joe to do 2 days of Christmas - at least one more than he is interested in....
Seems a new tradition of happy hour with the neighors to kick of Christmas Eve is developing. The Donner crew all came over once again. Great start for another great gathering.
It was 80F plus every day of my trip - and every weather station said enjoy it not what it should be. Reality settles in when I head back to Saint Paul and we are sitting at below zero.
Great drive from Yuma to Palm Springs. There is lots of "food" farms - even great expanses of palm and fruit trees. And there is the desert world as well - plus the great bonus of the sand dunes.
As I got closer and closer to Palm Springs the traffic and congestion picked up and the longest slog of the whole trip as the last 25 miles of the day.
Feel like a landed in a great spot for the next couple days - was so glad to hop out of the car.
