Saint Paul MN - Got Cheikh out for a ride

Ran in to Cheikh over lunch and suggested a bike ride.
We took off and got in a 15 mile ride on a great Monday afternoon in Minnesota - the humidity has left us for a bit. 
And you have to stop and take in the Mississippi when the opportunity arises.

Hastings MN - hot, humid but great regular Saturday bike ride

We knew we had heat and humidity today.  We also knew we had a few extra hills and miles for the day.  Fortunately, we got mostly cloud cover - but wow, when the sun sneaked out a bit it just got hotter and steamier. 
Great ride in Hastings.  Don't do it often enough.  And even got a stop in to Emily's - which was less enjoyable standing outside in the heat/humidity trying to rest up for the rest of the ride. 
Quick stop to catch the great view of the Vermillion River.

Saint Paul MN - MLD comes to town

As we all live in the new Covid lifestyle, we had planned a patio party at Mary's while Mary Lou was in town.  But, as Mary described, it is gross out that there - and that was describing her patio.
We chose to gather inside and enjoy a great evening - and even learned a few new things - hehe.

Saint Paul MN - A few more blooms, almost the end of the line

Not many plants left that can bloom, but a few more popped after the humidity.  There were even a couple I forgot were blended in with the others.

Minneapolis MN - Wandering in the big city, once again

After some rain and a break in the humidity, got out for a wander in the U and downtown Minneapolis Area. 
After several bike rides, a good day to just walk.

The fantastic summer for blooming plants continues in my yard. 
A few more popped this week - almost looks like I had planned the timing of it all!

Saint Paul MN - Great weekend, getting out on the bike both days

Lots of biking and walking this weekend - like every weekend in the time of Covid it seems. 
Headed off in to Richfield on Saturday.  Some great new trails that connect from park to park - lots of shady, water views.
Sunday was a river ride down towards Newport, crossing over 494 in to South Saint Paul and then back home.  Stopped for a coffee as we got back in Saint Paul and had one of those "unusual" new ordering experiences in the time of Covid.  All good - now understand the approach and rules for the next time. 

Minneapolis MN - Headed over to the big city

Had to head the Minneapolis way so decided to get a walk in while I was there.  Been awhile since I have wandered that side of the river. 
Wandered along the river and then wandered from new build to the next new build site to see what is new and how it is coming along - and finished with lunch in the park. 
And got home and got a call and got in another equally long walk on my side of the river.  Great day to be out - the humidity broke at least for today. 
Finished the night off with dinner at Sue and Jude's on their patio with the Mac guys. 

Saint Paul MN - More things blooming

This has sure been the perfect spring and summer all plants, bushes and trees this year. 
Everything is thriving and blooming.  If it isn't doing well this year probably time to replace it. 

Stillwater MN - Fourth of July at the lake

Spent the 4th hanging out at the lake with family.
Lots of relaxing with a pontoon ride, kayaking, swimming and tubing before a nice meal and home.
Another hot steamy day - they just keep adding up this year.
