Friday lunch in Adams Minnesota with Aunt Kathleen - what could be better.  Even got Greg out for the adventure.  Fun full day of conversation and laughs.  

Two Harbors MN - Rhea celebrates birthday number 1

 

Got a perfect weather day to celebrate Rhea's first birthday.  Rhea was playing it close to Mom all day as you would expect.  And she dove in to her first birthday cake like a rock star.  

Even got to take in the beginnings of her new home coming over the next year.  

Finished off the day with a wander around Two Harbors lighthouse area and then off to Forest Lake for dinner to finish off the day. 

Chicago IL - another super summer day

A beautiful Sunday and Monday.  Starting to feel the humidity coming back in but still a cool start to the morning. 

On Sunday everyone was out - great day to take a long ramble along Lake Michigan.  Something for everyone along the beach.  And another walk this AM in the southerly direction - looped around Soldiers Field and back.  

Chicago IL - Super summer night in the big city

Beautiful night - and no humidity.  Always a great place to be and when the weather is right is almost perfect.  

Grand Portage MN - Back on the USA side of the river

 

First stop as you cross the border is Grand Portage State Park.  Great opportunity to stretch the legs a bit before the next leg of the drive.  And another stop at the National Park.
