Hong Kong - Hitting the Bird, Flower and Goldfish Markets

A grey day but the rain mostly held off.
Decided a good day to wander around another part of Kowloon and  take in a few of the  specialty markets. Within a few blocks you can wander through the bird market, the flower market and even the goldfish market - something for everyone and  the streets full  of people taking it or the other things the neighborhoods have to offer.

Saint Paul MN - the BWW fiasco after a great ride

Super hot and humid day but Patty and I took off for a 25 mile spin around the metro before meeting up with Petar and Long for dinner at the new Buffalo Wild Wings near Mac.
Petar teased with a Tuesday special - it turned out to be the Tuesday fiasco.  What a mess - no doubt it will all be blamed on "being new and being untrained" but it was much more bizarre than all that.
Don't expect any of us will be seen there again for quite some time - too many good spots where they treat you right and feed you well in the same area.
Great to see the gang and get a ride in before heading back to HK to a grey, hot, humid and rainy Friday.

Saint Paul MN - catching up with a few of the bike group

Rained out on Saturday but got to catch up a few of the bike group on Sunday - great to get out for a ride.

Saint Paul MN - BBQ night at 247

A loud thunderous evening and morning.  But a perfect evening for a bbq.

Stllwater MN - Long, Petar and friends hanging out at the lake

A perfect day to be on the lake.  So Long, Petar and friends joined us for a day out at Margie and Jimbo's and took full advantage of everything you can do at the lake in the summer.
Tubing, swimming, dive competitions, bean bagging - a bit of everything.
Great day first full day in MN - hot and humid, but nothing like HK.

Hong Kong - out and about on an long weekend.

On Monday we celebrated the turn over by the British to the Chinese 16 years ago.
It is marked by a wide range of events.  The most notable was a protest parade for anything you wanted to protest about.
Huge groups of people paraded through the Central part of the City for hours and hours.  And as the parade started we got our bit of a typhoon that was about 200 miles south of us.
I can't image how much water they got at the center - we got unbelievable amounts of water coming down and an amazing pace for several hours.  It at least brought the temp down a few degrees for a bit.
