NYC - Partying with the DeMarkeys in NYC

The temps went back up but the rain arrived.  We got rain all night.  Slowed us down but we got in to NYC and raced off to a very quick dinner and then split up for Newsies and Spiderman.
Great shows, pictures with the stars and then heading back home in the rain.
Hanging around the house today before the big Thursday ahead.

Deal NJ - hanging at the golf club

There were 22 people out taking on the weather and the elements on the golf course.
A funeral luncheon and setting up for the evening wedding down the hall.
We had the whole casual dining area to ourselves for lunch, conversation coloring and of course video gaming on the phones to keep the young ones busy.
Here we are checking out the decor before the wedding later in the evening - flower displays for Margie.

Long Branch NJ and surrounds - Cool, windy and crisp

The jet-lag was in and I was up plenty early.  Finally, just set out for a long walk around the neighborhood where Ed lives.
Got to see lots of new construction, improvements and still the vast destruction from the hurricane last year - much moving forward but still lots of work to be done.
I remember several years back we all headed out to watch Lara play soccer on Saturday.  This time it was Christopher's turn - and a much colder, windier day.  He scored the winning goal so that warmed us all up as we raced to the car to get off to lunch with Sherri, Mike and the family at Ed's gold club.
Gopher football, cards, dice and knitting before we finished with dinner and conversation.
Expecting a much colder and windier day tomorrow....

NYC - back checking what's new in midtown

Back to NYC for a night - trying to catch some sleep before all of the family activities begin.
Always fun to wander and see what is new since the last trip - been quite a gap this time.
A bit of Christmas appearing but most of the big stuff was covered and under construction for the big reveal later this upcoming week.
Beautiful 55F day - don't get that often in November in NYC.

Manila Philippines - The Makati hotel to hotel shuttle

Quick trip in to Manila for an event.
Mostly, it was a trip of wandering the few blocks from hotel to hotel in Makati - both very nice and ready for Christmas.
With the recent storm and all the media and people trying to help the hotels were all full and this part of Manila was even my active and brimming with people than it usually is.
Western Christmas decor and formalities with it is in the 90s or higher always feels a bit odd and totally unreal - and then you get live interactive display that fills an entire hotel lobby it is beyond words.

Sydney Australia - Springtime

This time of year in Sydney is always wonderful - not too hot and not too humid.
I had almost complete sunshine the entire trip.  The last night we got a monster storm that rained all night.

Hong Kong - Margie and Anne do HK

Hong Kong is crazy - that is a line we picked up early on our arrival and one we continue to believe and accept everyday.
Margie and Anne came and took it all in and added their own bit of crazy to the HK experience.
Got to see most of the highlights and also got to spend time with many of the wonderful people that came with me and we have met along the way.
