New York NY - Hanging out with Aaron

I used to go to Singapore monthly.  Along the way I met a guy named Doug in Hong Kong and eventually met up with his cousin Aaron and eventually some of their friends.

They were in school after there military service requirement for the country.  They became part of my monthly trips - showed me some of the "other" spots in Singapore and definitely kept me young....and I offered up my two cents on life as well along the way.

Great to rendezvous in NYC while in town for work - lots going on to catch up on.

New York NY - The morning walk

I find wandering Manhattan first thing in the morning as one of my favorite times.

You get the early bird tower workers wandering to their destination.  You also have all those that found a corner or spot to spend the night and haven't come to life for the day at this point.  But then there are all those that make the city happen and are busy cleaning, setting up or repairing things for another day.  And then there is a contingent like me just out for a walk, run or getting their dog out for their AM duty.

It goes from very quiet on a side street to just blaring noise as you get to an intersection.  And most of the sidewalks are wet from being hosed off - so it is as clean as it gets in NYC.

New York NY - Another beautiful day

A perfect day to wander anywhere your legs took you in Manhattan today - no humidity.  At least no humidity by East Coast Standards.  Such a lovely summer day.

And to finish off the day got to hang out with a friend from Singapore that is in the City for work - what encouraged me back to the City again so soon.  We had a great evening catching up and sharing great stories of covid, life and the adventures ahead for both of us.

New York NY - Beautiful Summer Day

New York is back to "normal".  Wow, the streets continue to be full of people.  Things seem to be going all night again and you once again hear a different language with each new group you pass by.

Chaska MN - Historic Chaska as Alex takes his driving exam...

It has been many days of going to one end or the other in the Twin Cities.

My previous post had me in Stillwater.  Next day after an airport pick up back that direction once again.  And then as Alex and I were on a "practice drive" we got the call and went to rescue Betty in Carver at the opposite side of the Cities.  Let her get my car back out to Stillwater.

Big shower for Anna and that new great niece heading our way very soon on Saturday as well.

And as Monday morning arrived, after an early run to the airport with Eileen and Lizzie, Alex and I headed back SW to Chaska for his drivers exam - not far from where we picked up Betty on Saturday.

Most important - we have one more new driver on the road.  And a few interesting historic buildings to be seen in Chaska - a place I headed out to work about 20 years ago.
