Saint Paul MN - Post Thanksgiving Gathering

Well we had snow, rain and sleet and who knows what else today - wow.  An ugly mess of weather.
Made for an interesting football game and getting around.
Another 12 - 18 hours more snow and whatever ahead but then some quiet days.
Great gathering tonight - a bit different crowd than planned but another lively post Thanksgiving evening.
Dead battery limited my photo moments - and then much too engaged - but a great crowd of 16 partied on during a great snowy/icy night.

Stillwater MN - Thanksgiving 2019

We chose to stay in MN this year instead of our yearly trek to the East Coast.
Started with a pre-Thanksgiving snowstorm.  Roads cleared and everyone got out to celebrate the day.
We had many regulars but also several new faces to enjoy the day.

Saint Paul MN - First blast of the winter season

Overnight we picked up close to 10 inches of snow.
The heavy, wet stuff - hard to move around.
And it sounds like it is the start of maybe 2 more storms over the next 4 days.
Could be an interesting winter.......

Minneapolis MN - Nostalgia

Downtown for a meeting and got to wander by the current "Daytons Project" and saw a couple of the windows they are offering up for Christmas.  Certainly visuals from my past.
Will be interesting to see the others as they open.
And we wait the first big storm of the winter........

Saint Paul MN - Rice Park reopens

Rice Park got the holidays kicked off with the official reopening of the park after  major upgrade.
Lots of music and conversation with a final kick off lighting the tree and all the surrounding trees in the park.
And as it is finishing up I get a call from Margie and Marie who are downtown as well - so we stopped for a warm up at Herbie's before heading out.

Saint Paul MN - Another Pfaff Night!

Last week was dinner with Betty, Kindra and new friend Jesse.
This week it is dinner with Ben and Lindsay - and Margie joined the fun as well.
A full on Pfaff invasion - just missing a Lauren sighting to finish it up.
Went from the bulldog decor at lunch to the cow decor over dinner.

Rochester MN - Lunching with the dogs

Lunch day in Rochester.  We ended it up at Cameo and sat with a growing collection of bulldog art.
Finished up lunch and check-out the the new shop next door that included "scrub your butt" soap.
Before heading back I ran to pick up a new flashlight, dropped the old one on the cement on the way back and it began working perfectly once again.  Go figure.

Saint Paul MN - Cold, wind and still one busy week

The early cold is still hanging around.
One busy week - several events, Betty in for training, Gerard in for an event and participated in our event as well and some great blue skies with the cool crisp air.

Minneapolis MN - Yuichi is in town

Great mate Yuichi is in town for the yearly conference.
He arrived to a dusting of snow that became a perfect ice slick - the roads were a mess.
And it read 20F on the thermometer but with the wind felt like 5F - not a very nice night at all in MSP.
Still had a great catch up - lots going on his world.  And even enjoyed a bit of Vikings football before we called it a night.
