Naarden-Bussum Netherlands - Living on the edge of Amsterdam

Had a meeting half way between where I was in Central Amsterdam and the North where the partner was.  He suggested we meet at Naarden-Bussum - a nice town about 20 minutes outside the center zone of the City.  Lovely spot.

Amsterdam Netherlands - not a bad spot to sit and start the day.....

Yesterday I started the day with an early meeting on a patio overlooking the canal near the Central Train Station.
Today I am on my own and enjoying another spot a couple blocks from the hotel on the canal as well - with free internet!

Amsterdam Netherlands - The sun is out so everyone is in a boat

A lovely summer day and the canals are not only filled with all the tourist boats but every other person with a boat and friends.  It didn't diminish the crowds on the street.  Amsterdam is always one busy place - and the central streets are full of lots and lots of people.
And the summer heat only seems to hold in the ever present smell of weed that gives you a sense if you just inhaled more often you could be on a perpetual high as you walk the streets.

Dusseldorf Germany - the summer heat has arrived on the Rhine

Things have finally warmed up in Europe.  Beautiful day today but the keeps rising every day.
I got to the "Old Town Area" of Dusseldorf today.  Most of it was blown up during WWII.  They rebuilt on the same foundations so it still has the feel of an old European City.
Dusseldorf sits right on the edge of the Rhine River and, like every where else I have been in Germany,  is filled with bike paths to get your everywhere in the city.  And there are beautiful parks that fill the banks of both sides of the river - made for a great walk back to the hotel.
