Minneapolis MN - Lovely dinner and 2 desserts

 

I got to hang out with both Sue and Margie at one of my favorite spots - great night out.   Despite all the crazy construction traffic issues we all made it.

Saint Paul MN - Memorial Day Weekend gathering

 

I think we are maybe in year 25 of these crazy holiday gatherings - or at least most of the last 25.  It all started as I moved back home after 6 years away overseas.  No doubt other things came along over this weekend - so probably not 25 of them.  But when I was around I have found some to gather - smaller these days but always an interesting evening of conversation, laughs and whatever else may happens.  

Rochester MN - The yearly trip south

 

I heard over and over again that getting the flowers in at the cemetery before Memorial Day was possibly a key life measurement.  Otherwise, people will be talking about it.  Guessing most if not all of those people talking about it are in the same place as those that delivered that message.  

That being said, honored to remember my parents and wander and make sure Lucille is still there and a couple others I know where to find and wander over and have some great memories.  

Fort Lauderdale FL - A bit of August weather in May

 

Super hot and humid this early in the year.  Still got out.  Screened, sweated and screened some more.  All in all a good break from the cool rainy days back home.  

Saint Paul MN - Another day another graduation party this year

 

Wow, another graduation celebration.  Arrived early for a Masters celebration at The Lex - always a great place to hang out.  

Former workmate invited me to help celebrate her day.  Turned out to be a great reunion night with so many I haven't seen for years.

Had an African style dinner with Abdi and a few of his friends to celebrate the graduation of several of the group.  Got to test my "new recipe" skills one more time.

Very cool morning for our walk - blew off a bike ride with the cold front that came in.  Frost warning tonight over most of Minnesota - crazy May for sure. 

Did get the walk in and had a flock of turkeys greeting us back at the car - and a tom sure strutting his stuff.  

And Katie celebrated 60 - hehe - made for a great evening. 

Saint Paul MN - International Student celebrating time once again

 

Thought I was retired but Abdi invited me to his graduation celebrations this year.  The first event, and the best in my experience, is the International Student Celebration.  

Another great event and so much fun to see many familiar faces and do a catch up on the last couple years since Cheikh graduated.  

Saint Paul MN - Back home and back on the streets with Abdi

 

Left a rainy cool North Carolina to arrive back to 90F in Saint Paul Minnesota.  And had agreed to get a bit more driving in before another test in the AM.  And next weekend we celebrate Abdi and his graduation.
