Stillwater MN - A day on the river

 

A perfectly beautiful day to hang on the Saint Croix River with Mark and Berni - long, dear friends and their boat.   Water is still high but everything is so much greener than I have ever seen it. 

Saint Paul MN - Como Zoo Night

 

Got an invite to a Como Zoo Fundraiser - at the zoo.  Fun night wandering, feeding and dining.  

Minneapolis MN - Celebrating John and Jimbo's birthdays

 

Time to gather to celebrate another spin around the calendar for John and Jimbo.  Pizza and super fancy cupcakes - and ice cream of course.  

Chicago IL - The heat and humidty before the knock down storm

 

The heat and humidity just kept intensifying all day.  There was a great breeze that made it all feel a bit cooler along the water - and the best views in the city.  As evening came in so did the alerts and eventually the rain came and came and came.  

Expecting another day of it today - hopefully, getting out and home before it hits both Chicago and MSP.  

Chicago IL - Heat, humidity and rain where ever you are in the MIdwest right now

 

Delayed getting out of Minnesota due to rain.  And had the turbulence of the pending storm trying to land in Chicago.  Similar heat and humidity - and ongoing pop up rain storms.  

Still some great food and architecture.

Eagan MN - Tommy in town

 

Year two of having a Tommy visit with the NY ultimate frisbee team vs the Minnesota team.  Got a great weather night - and a fun dinner before the game.  

Fort Lauderdale FL - oh yes that unbelievable tropical humidity

 

Hong Kong humidity versus Minnesota style humidity - wow.  Not sure I lived with that everyday for 3 years.  And we got the big monster daily rain storm as well.

Still a great, quick trip.  Got to hang with all the new "Florida Panthers" in for rookie camp - staying at my hotel.  Swam my laps around them all.  

Probably can't put on enough sunscreen for the pace that I was sweating when I was out walking....

 

Saint Paul MN - Celebraiting the 4th BBQ

 

Gathered over the weekend to continue the 4th of July celebrating - the usual BBQ with the usual suspects.  Or at least those that didn't have a better offer.  

Weather sure cooperated.  

Stillwater MN - Celebrating the 4th on the 3rd

Had a plan to gather on the 4th but all predictions were for a rainy day - and it came to pass as just that.  So instead we gathered the day before to what was a perfect summer day.  Rhea spent most of the day in or on top of the water as part of her early 2yo celebrating.
