After an early start and a full day Diti took us back down the mountain to Dire Dawa for our flight back to Addis.
Took in a few sites, turkish candy shop and some time with Diti's family.
Before we gathered at the cafe near "the palace" Dawit and I wandered up to check it out - and see if there was a spot there to hang out. We didn't get a very warm reception since some "big level" meeting was going on. As we settled in at the cafe just below in the garden we saw the previous prime minister wandering on up to "the meeting".
Dire Dawa exists because the French built a railroad and the city grew around it. We grabbed a pic at the station as the train had just arrived so there were trucks everywhere picking the goods.
