Been a busier than usual year in the neighborhood for new construction.  Action up by the soccer stadium, a new building at Mac, a new building with living above it at Victoria Crossing and ongoing expansion at Highland Bridge.  

Nice to see more yeses than nos related to moving forward in STP.

New summer thing this year with several music nights along Grand Avenue at Mac.  Finally, was home on the right night to take it in.

Great theater night in a great spot.

It seems a local turkey and her 4 youngsters decided to drop in for a Sunday visit at the neighbors.   

Addis Ababa Ethiopia - The send off committee round 2

 

 Another full and amazing week comes to an end.  The whole gang gathered for lunch before I started the long trek back to Minnesota.  Ezana has been feeling ill and Naod we all in on sleeping.  

Lalibela Ethiopia - Day 2 churches

 

Started off the morning have breakfast overlooking the valley from our hotel patio.  Beautiful spot on the map for sure. 

The second set of churches are thought to have been carved out first.  They were a bit more rustic and less structured as the ones the day before.  

To get from one church to another church area you walk through "symbol of hell" tunnel.  No lights allowed - you must experience the dark.  It is a LONG trek.   

Got them all in and then the trek back down to the airport - besides the military check points, the driver needs to navigate people, goats, cows, oxen and some memorable potholes.  The churches live within a very active community.
