Another holiday fell mid-week in Hong Kong. I think this is the first holiday I have been in town for. On this holiday they have added dragon boat race to fill the day out in Stanley.
Stanley is this lovely, quiet spot on the other side of the island - but not today.
Hard to imagine more people all packed in than we see everyday but it was definitely a full beach of folks when we wandered through the race area. And then it rained - a long solid soaker. I think any rain storm here puts down a much water as Minnesota gets in a year.
We didn't last too long with all the rain and crowds. Finally found Byran on the other side of Stanley and it was all calm over there. Still lots of activity but room to move and enjoy. Found another new friend Douglas and enjoyed the view, the music and everyone else out enjoying the holiday.
