Singapore - New neighborhood, New Sites to see

Back in Singapore again as well.  Staying in a different section of the city and a whole new world of things to see.
This time I am off Orchard Road - the premiere shopping area.  And there are plenty of shopping areas to choose from but this is miles of shopping all on one street.
Plenty warm and humid - a nice breeze has helped a day or two of the trip.

Hong Kong - Lunar New Year Celebrating continues

Back in HK and the celebrating continues.
There are groups of guys that do dragon shows over the lunch hour - find a plaza and you will find a dragon show.
And it was comforting to get back to my daily ride up and down the elevator system in central HK - enjoying the neighborhood once again.

Saint Paul MN - International Potluck 2013

We spread or preparation for this year's event over 2 days.
On Friday Petar and I dove in to the world of Sebian beans and onions.  And once again we tried to bake a Serbian cake - much greater success this time.
I also learned the tricks to making spring rolls from Long.  And Davide made another "Davide Special Pasta".
Clemens got a better offer so we didn't get out of German/British cook book this year.
We still had plenty of great food and lots of interesting conversations.  And is always the case......not much left for another day.

Saint Paul MN - Let it snow

We got up this morning to rain, sleet, rain, snow, rain and more snow sleet.  The perfect mess on the roads - but it did provide moments of great beauty as well.
Not as bad as the East Coast but a full on mess it make for an interesting Sunday.

Stillwater MN - 58 it is my turn - OMG

Another birthday and another great evening with family and fiends.  We lost a few due to weather and life but still gathered a good group.  And after a great ice fishing event the Mac guys were ready to go.
Good to be home and good to have a great night with everyone.
Too bad Dan had a better offer.......it all started with the 2 of us.  We missed Lucille as well but we had Davide and Long celebrating their day as well.
And we  had the pleasure of hearing the birthday song in 8 languages - and each one was special.
