So 52 years ago we made the trip to Sainte Anne de Beaupre - a massive church in the countryside. The whole place has gotten much larger and grander over the years.
The key memory of the first trip was looking for the relic of Sainte Anne - they had her bones on display somewhere. A couple of us made it a project and eventually found our way to the lower level and discovered the most important reason to stop. Things have changed - the relic, at least one, has moved up to the main chapel with its own altar and more.
Stunning place and interesting to visit the rebuild of the original church. Stopped at a copper artisan shop as well and learned how they made the copper doors at the entry.
