Saint Paul MN - Thai Festival enjoys the Capital grounds

Largest Thai festival ever in Minnesota over the weekend.  I have always though that the Capital grounds are a perfect place for large public gatherings and this event sure proved that true once again.

Got a good day - but a humid day.

Finished off with a spin through Como, The U, downtown Minneapolis and then on home.  Great biking day.

Saint Paul MN - We love Sonia's Ukrainian pickles...can we have more...

Saint Paul MN - Memorial Day Weekend Celebration

Rainy start to the weekend but then the sun came out and I think the hottest day of the year so far.  And the humidity showed up as well.  We continue the cold to hot weather cycle.  Cooling down again as we go in to next week.  But we sure enjoyed the evening.

Rochester and Saint Paul MN - Driving and Driving

Once my mother no longer had a car, she would get very agitated about getting flowers planted at the cemetery before the Memorial Day Weekend - that was the rule and she wasn't going to break it.

To avoid the consequences from afar, I got things done with a day of extra time.  So all good for another year......

And then zoomed back home to drive and park with Alex as we work towards one more license for my Mac team in 2022 - Niketh is passed, bought a car and on the road earlier this year.   Got kicked out of our first parking lot today - seems to be part of the practicing process to get kicked out of practicing spaces....

Milwaukee WI - Lizzie Graduation more fun

Lizzie went from the stage to the exit.  We followed our way out on the guest route and started the rest of the afternoon.  Warm and lovely day once we got out of the amphitheater.

Pics, campus stop, pics, lunch, pics and then I was off.  Pete and Eddie shortly after that and Eileen and Lizzie driving to CT in the AM.

Milwaukee WI - Lizzie - The Graduation

9AM sharp start so we were out the door at 730 to pick up Lizzie and get off to The Summerfest Venue on Lake Michigan.  It was 50 and sunny and we had a cover over the amphitheater so it all seemed like the formula for a great morning.

First time using this venue for Marquette as I understand it.  The 9AM start was in the 930/945 range.  The amphitheater being a cement structure with a roof held in the chill of the morning and the lake.  And after we sat awhile the wind picked up - it was just COLD.

And even without the late start we had a long morning ahead.  Almost 2000 graduates and Lizzie's college was the last one on the list.......

Many great parts of the day - but, it was a long cool one until we saw Lizzie make her trip across the stage.

And me planning to be under the roof meant I forgot the hat and have some sun to remember the day by as well for the next few - and I think I am still warming up....
