Woke up to 48F. So was ready to hit the road and head north to the Daytona Area - even cooler up here. They are talking high 30s here in the AM.......not my plan for Florida......
Got to spend some time with Marge and do a couple little projects that we wanted to get done. She is still rocking it hard at 98. The best quote of the day was that I look more like a Cashman than the Cashmans...
More driving time than anything else time today - but a cool one so a good one to get the driving done.
It was Superbowl Sunday an we hung out at Stevie and Edie's place. Definitely a Thein majority but the winnings went to Ed.
Edie extended my birthday celebration with a cake and some additional cheer. And Brody did an expert job at finishing it all off before he left for bed.
Time for the ferry ride home. They ask you arrive about an hour early before the boat leaves. So took in the art hanging from the rafters at the marina.
And once on the boat wandered out back and caught a couple manatees making their way far from the boat.
We arrived in the dark to Marco and back to a warm sunny morning in Naples. Another 80+ day on the way.
One more beautiful day. They even squeezed in a state park - Fort Mitchell on the island. It contains a pre Civil War Fort that got secured by the Union to support the effort.
It has been through many iterations but still lots of history and stories about this part of the USA.
A bit of a wander in the cemetery as well - the newer one. A hurricane took the first one off in to the sea. And of course a few chickens wander around there - and as I left I ran in to another creature you sure don't see in Minnesota.
