Saint Paul MN - they said it wouldn't rain until later
We thought we had a couple hour window to get in a Sunday ride over the long weekend.....no.
We got just far enough away and the rain let loose. We waited for a break and then it busted loose again once we headed back home. Finally, just grabbed a coffee to wait it out - and it got us one more time on the final leg home.
Soaking wet.

New York NY - Early morning calm
There are always people around 24 hours a day. But there is a peacefulness about early morning in NYC. The street vendors are starting to move their cart, the folks that never leave the streets are starting to move and there are few vehicles moving and honking their way through the city.
And it is also interesting how one minute it is quiet and calm and then it is just like it "turns on" and the usual chaos and crowds are doing their thing.
New York NY - Downtown and the HIline
The heat and humidity finally broke overnight and was much cooler and cloudy - some rain from time to time.
Been many years since I wandered the Hiline Park so headed downtown and then wandered in that direction - wow, lots of development along that stretch of Manhattan.
Dinner with Long and Song as well to finish off the day.
New York NY - The oppressive heat continues
There was no break from the heat and humidity.
Wandered off to the upper East Side, Harlem and Central Park - for all the trees still hard to find lots of shade.
Always great fun to rendezvous with friends that come in to the City.
New York NY - US Open Tennis Time
I have had the opportunity to get to Wimbledon and the Australian Open while I lived in both spots. I have been in and out of NYC many times during the tennis - and have stayed in the official hotel a couple times during the event.
Not planned but I was in NYC and took the opportunity to go out and got to see Serena and Rafa play.
Quite the complex. And it was super hot and humid - and the slight breeze didn't even help. A struggle for all - not sure how they even played.
Wayzata MN - somber yet celebratory day
Gathered with several previous workmates for the funeral of a husband from our team - a young 53 with a very unexpected death.
Beautiful place. A great celebration - lots of memories and great laughs on a very somber day.
Great to see many familiar faces that I haven't seen for quite some time - have to do a better job of getting together.

Stillwater MN - Lindsay and family at the lake
Another Saturday, another day at the lake.
Lindsay and Craig came in from Western Minnesota so another party was had. A bit less sunny but a great weekend none the less.
