Chicago IL - Wandering a bit north

Took a walk along Michigan Avenue and then on along the Gold Coast.
Finished up at my first apartment out of college - went from studio to 1 bedroom hehe.
And a wander back through Old Town and the other neighborhoods along the way.
Spots look the same and some area all gone and rebuilt as something new - all great to see and enjoy.
And after a great afternoon with a great long term friend Sue Ross told me about the popcorn shop at the train station when I got back in the city......of course I bought their special blend.

Chicago IL - Another room with a view

Back for a  visit - way too long to be in a city I love.
I am staying in a hotel that was in a dump ground when I lived here - and now one of the hot spots.

Saint Paul MN - the day before the next storm

Got a bit grayer but still a great Sunday.
Headed to Como Park and there were people out everywhere enjoying the day - windy but still enjoyable.
Storm on the horizon to kick off the week - will see if it is just a scare or we get bombed once again.

Saint Paul MN - Dinner with the Mac Guys

We had to work a bit but found a night that all of us could gather and catch up a bit - 40F plus so a great March day in Saint Paul. 
Even Niketh is getting the Minnesota experience down - he walked in and told me it was warm today!

A few of us gathered once again and wandered Saint Paul this week.  Great day.  A bit of wind but it has been warm and melting the snow....before the next storm in the next couple days.

Saint Paul MN - Snowy February

We got 12 inches earlier in the month and two 6 inchers in 3 days.  Was starting to look like a light snow year and now it is everywhere. 
Warm week ahead so less by the weekend.

Saint Paul MN - Birthday Party once again

Moved the venue for the annual birthday dinner to my place this year.  Dan got a better offer, once again, so I was a solo celebrator. 
Another cold night but plenty warm inside.  One of our bigger crowds. 

Minneapolis MN - Superbowl Sunday LII

Sunny but a cold Superbowl Sunday in the Twin Cities.
Decided to head over to check out all the action one more time.  Took the train to the designated check in point at the U and switched over to the bus - all organized and very efficient. 
Met up with a group of Patriot fans in the bus and guided them through the skyway to their destination.  Then met up with some Eagle fans and wandered with them off to their destination.  And then again, and again.  It just seemed easier and easier to just walk them to where they wanted to be. 
Got back to the Saint Paul side before the protestors started slowing things down.
