Great day.  Great ride.  The Carly birthday ride on her day - and she partied elsewhere.  No doubt early celebrating......hehe.

New York NY - The Cloisters and a Spectacle on Broadway

Have heard about The Cloisters for years and years.  Finally, made my way up to 190th Street on the train for a visit.  And well worth the trip.
Hard to say if I enjoyed the art or the architecture more.  And located in such a lovely green space as well.
And then worked my way on train and foot back to the the crazy of central Manhattan.  Got a great recommendation at the half price ticket booth and saw a "great spectacle" as it was described to me - so glad I stopped and asked if there was something worth seeing today.  Wow.

New York NY - Wandering the streets, my favorite pastime in any city

I have wandered central NYC starting when I was 20 years old.  The great part is it continues to change and evolve - so always something new every time I get a wander in to my schedule.
As always a few new surprises on the regular paths.

Saint Paul, New York - and Pittsburgh on the way...the diversion

Great summer night in the city.  And then off to NYC - huge storms left me sitting in Pittsburgh on the way.  But still arrived in time to hang out with a great mate from Singapore in NYC for a few weeks of training.

Saint Paul MN - Summer in the city

Monday night in Saint Paul.  Wandered up to Mac for a swim and on Monday's you get the added bonus of frisbee football with the local bagpipe band filling the air in the background as they practice around the corner.

Saint Paul MN - perfect weather weekend

Finally two non-humid weekend days in a row - wow, perfect weather weekend.
Great Saturday bike ride and with all the timely rain and sun the yard and plants are looking great.  After being gone for several years again, the yard goes off on its own course.  This is a great year to see what is still alive, what is out of control and get a plan in place to move things around when it gets a bit cooler in the fall.
And Sunday lunch overlooking the golf course in Rochester - great finish.

Edina MN - A Dave and Busters Sunday

Another hot and sticky Saturday that included another bike ride.  And then a beautiful Sunday.  Betty and Byran in town so met up with them for a birthday celebration at Dave and Busters - haven't been in one of these in many, many years.
