Auckland New Zealand - a quick in and out
Made a quick 24 hour hop to Auckland. Got in late was back in Sydney for the next evening - but got the work that needed to be done completed.
Always a comfortable place to be.
Sydney Australia - Hanging out at Frankies with the Oz Team
Opened an office to better serve the Australia/New Zealand Region. Arrived for week three to see how we were all settling in.
The Adams had found a new regular spot called Frankies. Turns out it was around the corner from a hotel I generally stay at when I make the trip to Sydney - so a simple and easy wander.

Beijing China - what a difference a day makes
Yesterday we were talking about how the was "relatively good" - that means the pollution isn't to bad. And then we woke up this morning.
Wow - could barely see the outline of the buildings across the street - and it was settled all the way to the ground.
Fortunately, it cleared enough as the day went on and the plane got off and I headed back to HK.
Beijing China - a night and day perspective
I continue to be surprised and enjoy how some cities become a completely different place from day to night. Beijing is one of those. At night the buildings fade in to the dark and the lights come on.
Quiet streets with old unpretentious buildings become sparkling hot spots that overwhelm your senses in lights. Add the labored pace of rush hour to the taxi ride and you get more than enough time to take it all in.
And at the same time you get to appreciate the great art of Beijing taxi driving - and the rhythm of the road - cars, trucks, bikes, carts and people. It's all there moving in and out and often in opposing directions all at the same time. Amazing how it all flows.
A full day of meetings spread throughout the city - but enough time was found to stop at a great local spot for lunch.
Hong Kong - Getting ready to celebrate the year of the Horse
Chinese New Year is once again approaching. And HK is starting to turn red and gold in anticipation of the year of the Horse.

Saint Paul MN - "Go home when you are tired" another success
May be the coldest New Year's Eve we have had in a awhile - and an even colder New Year's Day. Tough winter so far in the Midwest.
Despite the cold we gathered a crowd.
Too much food but we did our best to enjoy it all - and plenty of conversation and laughs.
All cleaned up and on to 2014 this morning.
