Edwards CO - we made it up the mountain

The toughest part of the trip was getting from Denver to Edwards - down the road a few miles from Vail.
A semi truck caught on fire and was torched. It slowed all the traffic down and we sat for the better part of the afternoon waiting to get to and then through the big tunnel.
Edwards is a lovely community nestled in the mountains with a different view every direction you look.

Denver CO - hanging around the state capital

Walked most of the downtown first then finished up at the Capital Museum Area before the cars headed up the mountain.

Denver CO - Anna and Lara do Denver

We left Rochester MN early and arrived in Denver in time for a late dinner.
Anna gave the hotel her seal of approval as well.
Ed, Lara and Betty flew in and we all met up in Downtown Denver for a bit of a tour before we headed up the mountain.
