Nashville Tennessee - Cumberland River

Unfortunately another grey and gloomy day but it did not disrupt the overall beauty of the drive from Louisville KY to Nashville TN. Rolling hills, with the beginning of spring. Within all the grey is the spots of green but also some wonderful trees popping with wonderful lavender and white flowers...and the fields are full of purple clover rolling from side to side.
We were next to Vanderbilt University on this trip - on the edge of the downtown area. Nashville has built a replica of the Pantheon in Greece - and is the prime focus of Centennial Park.
Another day of grey and cold...and not much time to dive in to the wonders of Nashville.

Louisville Kentucky - River Cities Week...on the Ohio

We have all been very anxious for spring in Minnesota. I had been thinking that spring should be happening as I arrive a bit further south...oops not any further along than us...but no sitting snow.
Lovely city. Bordering the Ohio River and overlooking Southern Indiana it quickly becomes a place you want to roam and wander.
Despite a grey and gloomy day I wandered the city a bit and ended up at the Mohammed Ali Center for the work event. Great museum - wished I had time to enjoy more than the wonderfulness of the building and the conference area.

Mississippi - Petar gets a taste of the River

A grey, foggy, rainy day to finish off spring break. Petar and I set out to check out the Mississippi from Minneapolis to Kellogg - and a few other rivers along the way.

Saint Paul MN - Serbian bean night over Mac spring break

Petar and I bought a large supply of beans for the Mac potluck - and then a tennis match got in the way. So with a plan to enjoy them all before he heads home for the summer we had our first "Serbian Bean Night". Mary, DQ and Maria were available to join us - spring break week at Mac.

Basketball got in the way today and I was left on my own until the very end to try to achieve the taste that reminds you of "Mom" - we got in range. Maria gave here Macedonian thoughts and Mary threw in Hungarian sensibilities as well.

When it was all done a good outcome for a first attempt.

Eau Claire WI - the view from the additional office

Feel like 2008 again with a rooftop patio. It appears to be the lull before the flood of the Chippewa River...and every other river in the surrounding area over the next several weeks.

50F today...look forward to another visit and a sit on the deck when things have greened up a bit.
