After arriving to peak heat and humidity, I expected much the same for the AM walk. The cold front arrived and it was cool and crisp - didn't get home looking like I already took my shower.
Captured a big loop this AM around the rivers and the central loop - plenty to see and take in for sure. An interesting city to be back to 50 years late - of course there is nothing that looks familiar.
Got off early with a full day ahead.
After our usual Saturday bike ride decided it was time to get in the car and head out. All roads lead north and west this time. Zoomed through North Dakota without incident and arrived to 87F late afternoon in Winnipeg. Last time I was here was 50 years ago - couldn't even tell you where I was on that trip - a school trip/opportunity.
I always enjoy those experiences where you just move a few feet and you are in a whole new world as it is when you move from ND to Canada. And it is all different right then - metric and french being the first in your face examples. And then there are all the rest that give you the wonder of Canada.
Enjoyed the lovely bright yellow fields as I neared the Canadian border and then they continued the rest of my drive - reminded me of taking the train in the UK to Milton Keynes and turning the corner and everything was bright yellow.
