The chance came up and off I went to NYC for a short visit. Sunny and 50+ for two days isn't bad at all. I used to make this trip at this time of year for 7 years - usually the coldest, snowiest and just outright nasty time to be here. Not this year.
Rainy sloppy night in the Twin Cities but we met Niketh about half way in his old stomping grounds for some pull tabs and bar grub. We are on the downward stretch - last term for Cheikh starts this week and he will finish up in May.
Betty and Byron are in for the night before heading off to Florida for awhile. Gathered a few others and had a great night of pasta and conversation - and Mary to add a whole new range of stories.
We seem to be having a "big" snow storm year for the winter weather. Seems like we get a big one about every other week. Number 4 or 5 over the last couple days.
Sounds like it ended up about 12 inches near me. And it is the wet heavy stuff - hard to move and will freeze hard. But it sure looked great out there anywhere I wandered today.
And still snowing at the moment as the evening goes on - so will be more to clean up tomorrow.
We started off the AM with breakfast out and about before Rhea, showing off her unicorn hoodie, and family headed back north.
Another year, another gathering to recollect and think about 2023. A smaller and some new additions this year.
And we had the pleasure of Rhea hanging with us while Mom and Dad went to the Timberwolves game.
Sun starting to rise above the buildings and the day started above freezing - going to be a nice winter day in the City.
Off to the races and a nice day back in Saint Paul as well they are predicting.
