Got two great walks in today. An early start through the heart of the downtown and then another walk at the park on top of the hill.
Like most central cities right now, beautiful, lots of new residences but also very few workers but lots of others setting tents for the evening. Interesting how deep the history of San Diego goes - early Spanish conquests still are part of the fabric of all you see, Always a great spot on the map - figuring out the new normal like every other city.
Since my bags were packed and I was already in California it just seemed right to think about that list of things I want to do when I get back to California. So here we go - the adventure begins.
First stop the Mission at San Juan Capistrano - number 7 of 9 of the California missions. The town itself is also interesting and historic and then just across the tracks is the historic Los Rios....really old houses and such.
The sun was out, the highways were certainly full so it was a great diversion to get things started.
