Got a great opportunity to see Alex recognized for all of his efforts and ongoing plans at Mac this week. Even got in to a building I have never had the opportunity to explore a bit.
Lots of other activities going on as well as I wandered up for the event - despite our never ending cool, grey start to spring.
Great to be invited back on campus once again as well - been a long time with Covid.
Another gloomy spring, and cold, day in Minnesota. Made a day of it in Southern Minnesota which included a great lunch on Main Street in Wabasha with Sonia and Lorne.
Wow, if I had to describe this spring in Minnesota it is all about wind. We seem to be in the path of so many weather patterns that the wind comes our way - in many, many directions.
Still got a cold walk and found another great spot with a whole array of street art - so much color to dress up another dull grey new neighborhood waiting to grow out and warm up.
Warm and humid plus we got an unexpected morning storm to kick off the bike season for the bike group - also a very thin attendance.
Got in 23 miles and timed the coffee break perfect with the rain.
We went for a new approach to celebrating Easter coming out of Covid in 2022 - Saturday night BBQ. It was certainly not BBQ weather but the party went on. We certainly gathered a good crowd and had the usual loud and energized Cashman Event. Grandma would have loved the event but certainly not approved of celebrating Easter on Saturday instead of Sunday...
Mary's birthday gave us a great evening to gather a few for a Friday evening Happy Hour to celebrate another notch on the calendar.
60 with a bit of sun was enough to get me out the door and get the first ride of the season completed. It was a day where everyone was outside enjoying the day. The wind came up as the afternoon went on so the return loop got my legs an even better workout than planned.
I always find Denver to be a great place to hang out. Since my first trip in the 80s I have always found something new to a city that just continues to grow and change.
And then there is the airport. For one of the newer, if not newest, large airports it sure is a TSA disaster. And it seems each new visit it goes further downhill.
