Key West FL - Another direction...more chickens and then the Hemingway cats

 

Off along the pier to get today started.  And then off in several different spots from there.  

Key West FL - The southern most part of the USA

 

Went for a loop of the whole place on day one.  Definitely one of those unique spots on the map. 

Didn't realize that chickens run freely where ever they want - everywhere on the island.  When you least expect it, they wander on in.  And they are a colorful lot - nothing like the standard white chicken we see in the midwest.  

Marco Island FL - Early morning departure

 

Did a grey sunrise out of Marco Island on my way to Key West.  A three hour ferry ride.  

We had a few dolphins following the boat out of the harbor and then nothing but water until we closed in on Key West.
