Saint Paul MN - CEZ Outdoor Open House

The CEZ, Creative Enterprise Zone, an industrial area in Saint Paul that is also adding a whole new living neighborhood with in it has been zoned as an area to also support the arts.  

The last couple years they have been working to add murals on the massive walls of concrete that are everywhere throughout the neighborhood. Today they hosted an outdoor open house to take in the 20+ murals at the moment - with a several year plan to keep the program going.  

Turned out to be an 80F day in October - so worth the walk around the CEZ.

We were lucky enough to get in for the first round of the fair food drive through and then we made the list again when they came up with this new October program. 

Added another to the mix - so we could get more food!!!!!!

Saint Paul MN - Tuesday pick up

 

Friends have their weekly veggie pick up on Tuesday.  What could be better than a local brew pub as the local pick up spot. 

Nice day to hang out and get the pick up done as well.  

Saint Paul MN - Election Day 2020

I have been planning to early vote.  Started today.  Was in the area so thought I would check out the lines, etc.  Walked in and just jumped in the line and got it done - not bad at all.

Another cool start to our ride today.  Headed south this week and caught Saint Paul in the background from the 494 bridge in South Saint Paul.  

 

Saint Paul MN - Summer returns

 

After a very cool week, things warmed up again this week.  It was warm but very hazy - no doubt from all the fires in the West.  

Caught a great door in a 100+ year old church as I wandered and took advantage of the great day.

Took the time to enjoy another warm day after many very cool brisk days.  Looks like we have a few more days of warmth ahead of us next week.  

Always good fun on the roof of The Lex.   

And a huge pink moon coming up over the horizon on the drive home - the picture sure doesn't do it justice....need a better phone camera it seems.  

Lansboro MN - The 40 mile bike ride

 

We got off early and hit the trail early and got the 40 mile round trip in from Lansboro to Rushford.  Our first time taking on this ride and we learned that it had a downhill slant on the way to Rushford and we got the uphill slant for the 20 miles back - lesson learned....

Good group, good ride and a nice lunch before we headed back home.  

Saint Paul MN - State Fair Day 2020

 

As part of our crazy Covid Year the State Fair got cancelled but then they put together a program for cars to drive through during the usual fair days and get a chance to get treats from 20 food vendors.  

Went with some of my usual fair crew and we ate too much, laughed a lot and had plenty of fun. 

Minneapolis MN - Windy Thursday bike ride

 

Cool and windy day - 25 - 30 mph gusts.  Moved me and the bike up and over a few times as we pedaled along.  Still a great day out.  

Took a route in to the wind as best we could for the first half.  Made the ride home a whole lot more enjoyable.
