Saint Paul MN - The summer view

The humidity has broken after some big rain.
Got a great ride in on both Sunday and Monday on my bike.
Grabbed a few summer shots of the view from the office - last offered up some winter days.
So lush this year with all this rain - almost like living in the southern USA.
Sounds like a more typical Minnesota week ahead  - gotta love that.

Saint Paul MN - Hot, humid and lots of events going on

Busy event week in Saint Paul.
Big BBQ yesterday and UEL and 2 other events today.
Great to see so much activity inside and out with all the ongoing head, humidity and standing water.
Got a bike ride in as well - but had more than our share of water detours.

Minneapolis MN - Twins night with the DeMarkey's

Tommy and Eddie like their baseball.
We headed out early to catch the pre-game activities and all the rest.
Hot, steamy night but still a great evening.

Stillwater MN - Gerard's in town, Eileen is turning 50 and a great day at the lake

Started the day with a 30 mile bike ride with equal amounts of sun and shady spots along the way along several lakes and rivers.
And then Gerard hung with us on his last day in the Twin Cities.  And what could be better than a Saturday afternoon at the lake.
Eileen is on the edge of 50 so we took time to celebrate a bit while she and the boys are in town.
Tommy, Gerard and John took to the tubing and twists and turns that Ged provided.
Eddie DeMarkey stuck to fishing vs tubing - and hopefully gets a few more bites before the trip home.
All in all a great Minnesota day.

Saint Paul MN - A couple days in the life

Lately, my weeks seem to be booked up with events and conferences followed by great summer nights enjoying the deck or wandering off to one of the many nightly concerts around the city.
Not a bad way to enjoy the summer - with the occasional bike ride as well.

Saint Paul MN - 4th of July BBQ on the 6th of July

Decided to wait until Saturday for a 4th of July BBQ.
Got a better evening and a respectable crowd.
As always, lots of conversation and plenty of wine and food to go with it.

Saint Paul MN - Back on the bike

Two great rides upon my return from Sydney.
Hot and steamy on the 4th and almost cool today.
Great views from the Lowry Bridge over the Mississippi in Minneapolis.

Sydney/Canberra/Sydney - One last burst before I go

One last burst of activity before heading back to the hot summer days at home.
Another sunny but crisp day.
A bit a Canberra, the National Capital, and then back for a final dinner with the wedding party in Balmain.
Great finish.
