Saint Paul MN - what a difference a week makes

By Saturday morning most of the snow from last week was gone - just the high piles still melting away.
50s and 60s this weekend - so we got the walk in, great night out celebrating Africa and got that first 15 mile ride in.   And the butt feels the pain of that first ride.
It was a day of people wandering in winter coats and hats as well as one brave guy doing his run in a speedo - spring in Minnesota.

Pepin WI - A good day for lunch

Stopped in Zumbrota and grabbed Greg.  And then on to Rochester and picked up Mom and we were off to Pepin for lunch at the Homemade Cafe.
We met up with Sonia and Lorne and owner son Christopher.
Just opened up for the new season.  Still snow on the ground but we hit 50 and it was sunny - for a great day for a ride and always interesting conversation.

Saint Paul MN - 48 hours plus and still snowing

We are over 48 hours of on and off snow and wind.  It is a mess.
The Ace Hardware has the mulch and dirty ready to go - with 12+ inches of snow on top.
It is a record and historical snow - still snowing so not sure where it will all end up.
Expect it will be a mess until it melts over the next few days.

Saint Paul MN - snow, again only bigger

Another weekend another snow it seems this year.
Each storm was a "big" storm for April until this weekend and we seem to be in the midst of a most historical one.  It started Friday night and they said it was about half way Saturday evening.
Airport closed, doesn't happen often but between the wind and the snow it is quite a mess.

Saint Paul MN - Mary's Birthday...again!

The next weekend storm was getting ready to begin and the party started.  The beginning of a long weekend of snow, ice and wind if all predictions follow through.
But party went on and another year recognized.
We will remember it as the year of the storm not year....

Minneapolis MN - Gerard is back in town

Another weekend another snowstorm - or so it continues to play out.  Sunny but cool Saturday but still got a walk in along the Mississippi.
Gerard in town for work so checked out the new Finnegan's on a snow Sunday evening.  And Lobster Rolls at the Smack Shack to finish the evening.

Rather nice day out there if you can ignore the snow - 6, 8, 10 inches today tbd.  It was a much easier day to just walk the errands.  And apparently the wind and the cold comes in tonight.

Saint Paul MN - Easter 2018

We woke up to -1 windchill on April 1 - Happy Easter - Happy April Fools Day.  Unfortunately, it was all too real.
Everyone still wandered out and another Easter Celebrated.
