Saint Paul MN - Mary hits 62

After a rainy morning we got a warm and humid sunny afternoon - and then more rain once everyone arrived to celebrate Mary's birthday.
Highlight of the evening was the egg tapping contest - no doubt that event will be back again one day!

White Bear Lake MN - Brigitte joins the 60 club

After a great day we finished off at the VFW on White Bear Lake to celebrate Brigitte's move to the 60 Club.

Saint Paul MN - First group ride of 2017

A bit crisp but it warmed up just fine for our first ride of the season.  Strong spring winds made the return trip a lot more work.
Coffee and great treats a new spot for us in the North Loop of Minneapolis.

Tokyo Japan - Cherry Blossoms and Springtime

A perfect weather week in Tokyo.
Prime time for Cherry Blossoms so finding a hotel at a reasonable rate was a challenge when I decided to change my travel plans for this trip. But got in to a new spot - and it worked out just great.
60 - 70 every day - and finally some rain on Thursday night in to Friday.
My trips to Tokyo will be winding down but this was a great one to enjoy near the end.

Saint Paul MN - Wild Turkeys in the neighborhood

When I drive in to work I usually drive along the river.  It is not unusual to run in to flocks of wild turkeys along River Road.
At the UofM there are 20 or more covering the road and surrounding area.  They take their time doing what they want to do - and we all wait.
This morning as I was looking out the window I noticed that 6 wild turkeys were making their way up Macalester Street.  My house is a good distance from the river or even from heavily wooded area - one of the busiest streets in the city is a block away.  That didn't stop them.  As usual they took their time doing what they were going to do.

Goodhue Minnesota - Number 65 for Mr Nixon

39 or 40 times this party has happened - I have had the opportunity to enjoy many of them.
Anther year, another party.  And this year we all got trained on another way to separate the yolk from the white part of an egg - who knew.

Toronto Ontario Canada - Same cold as MN

Short trip to Toronto and the same cold wave covered Minnesota and all of Ontario.  At least there was lots of sun.
Like most of the cities in the world, it is ever changing and getting taller and taller.

Pepin WI - partying with the LePoudre's

Great sunny day to drive down to Pepin.
Lots of fun and hearty conversation.
And updated my cupboards with "pickles by Sonia" - coming soon to your plate at a dinner at 247 Mac.

Tokyo Japan - one more sunny day

Back for one more day of meetings before I head back to MSP.
Got another nice sunny and warm one.
Spring is arriving all over Tokyo.  Always enjoy sitting on the stoop in front of the hotel waiting for the bus that gets me to the airport.
