Tokyo Japan - An interesting week begins

Wow - G7 coming to Japan, not Tokyo, and there are police everywhere in Tokyo.  They can almost reach out and touch each other they are so thick in the neighborhood where I usually stay.  The hotel has the Diet in one direction and is surrounded by embassy's in every other direction - USA just around the corner.
A full week of meetings ahead......

I arrived today and it was a beautiful Sunday.
Settled in to catch a great sunset over Tokyo from the room - and what a huge and sprawling place it is.

Saint Paul MN - Long Graduation. The day after

Long had to pack and move out of his apartment so we hit Saint Paul and took in some of the sights.
Then off for a boat ride north of Stillwater followed by some Costco shopping and taking on the Mall of America.  Closed before Lily made it on the rides.

Stillwater MN - Mother's Day Weekend

Wow - record setting 90F plus Friday.  It was just HOT.
And a great Saturday and followed by an even nicer Sunday for Mother's Day - don't recall ever having a boat ride on Mother's Day.  But also don't recall being at the lake on Mother's Day either.
Even had Anna join the party.
Last gathering before Kristijan heads out for the summer and Long graduates.

Minneapolis MN - Wandering around NE

Great start to the weekend, Friday dinner in NE Minneapolis.
Wandered from the office downtown since it was a wonderful April day - and the start of a full weekend.
Cold, windy bike ride on Saturday morning - we called it quits early but I think my legs got more than a regular workout.

Saint Paul MN - Mary's Birthday....again

We finally found a date that worked for all to gather for another birthday celebration for Mary.......good fun, good laughs and the usual bad and inappropriate conversations.  The perfect Birthday Dinner!

Saint Paul MN - Bike ride and the Saint Paul Art Crawl

Got back a day early and got out for a bike ride on a beautiful Saturday morning - buzzed by First Avenue and took in all of the activities surrounding the passing of Prince.
And finished off the day with some time at the Saint Paul Art Crawl - took in the new artist lofts at the old Schmidt Brewery - ready to move in.
