Tokyo Japan - Just ahead of the Cherry Blossoms Blooming

First day of spring, and Greg's birthday, and I am wandering around the Imperial Palace Area.
I recall being able to see the Palace from the distance on my first visit in 1996 - not anymore.  Either the trees have grown up or they have added them for more security.
Spring is almost here - caught a few things starting to bloom.  I will be back in a month and will probably miss all of the Cherry Blossoms and the beautiful start to the new season in Japan.

St Patrick's Day and we just headed out to dinner at the SmackShack - figured it wouldn't be part of the Green Day Crazy.  Diane M joined us and we finished off the night wandering through the Old Milwaukee Railroad Depot and Skating Rink.

Forest Lake MN - Cashman Women's Weekend Dinner

The Vince Cashman Women gathered for the weekend - they all made it.  It was the full group.
I dropped in and joined them for dinner.
The stories and fun continued.

Saint Paul MN - First Bike Group Ride

I think Saturday was our earliest start as a bike group - March 12.
We had 10 show up and it was over 50F by the time we took off and 66F by the time we got home.
Great start to the season.

Saint Paul MN - first bike ride for 2016

I know I have never had my first bike ride for the season on March 6.  I have ridden in March but not this early - and usually it has been cooer than it was today.
Was close to 60F - how can you not get out and enjoy that.  And sunny - and WINDY.
Got my first 25 miles in.  No doubt my legs will remind me in the morning.

Saint Paul - Crashed Ice the morning after

I got home from Tokyo and it was sunny and the warmest day on record for this date 60F.
And it was also the finals of Crash Ice in downtown Saint Paul - always draws a crowd but when it is that warm out it hit record numbers as well.
And this morning we had rain followed by snow showers - the grey is back.  But still really good weather for February.
