Hong Kong - Lovely Sunday

Great day - lots of sun and just enough heat and humidity.......it never really goes away.
Lots of people out enjoying the day - and that just adds that many more to all of us already out!
And we are almost ready for Christmas here as well - without Thanksgiving you can get ready to go so much early in a big way.

Melbourne Australia - Starting to work Christmas as well

Always a sense of Saint Paul when I arrive in Melbourne - the river is the key driver to that experience.  They engage it so much better than we have figured out how to do.  Imagine having places to sit and enjoy on the river in the heart of the city......
And it is also beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here.
Solid work day and great evening with friends enjoying the wonders of Melbourne.

Sydney Australia - Jacaranda time and holiday season too

I remember when I first arrived 20 years ago when the Jacaranda's bloomed.  It was amazing.  I used to walk in a few spots that every tree was a beautiful lavender bloom.
For Minnesotans it would feel much like lilac season but it is whole trees and streets and streets full of them.

And of course we are moving in to the summer season so tomorrow is going to be 90F plus.  But that doesn't mean that the Christmas holidays are not far behind.

A totally unique perspective to do spring to summer at the same time you get out all the wonders of a Western European Christmas happening as well.....

Hong Kong - Just another Monday

It starts getting darker earlier now.
Hong Kong in daylight and Hong Kong at night feel like two very different places.  Hong Kong definitely likes to turn the lights on - it is bright and flashy.
I wandered home at dusk.  Took an alternative route to get my legs back in the groove of climbing up and down day to day.

Hong Kong - Just another Sunday

A warm and sunny Sunday but a break in the humidity.  Much less sticky here than it was in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur earlier in the week.  A great day to be out.
The streets were full with the maids in all of their usual spots - and more than the usual amount of entertainment and protesting activities by them.
And the protestors are still out and about as well.  Small crowds hanging out on a Sunday but the main drag is still closed.
A new feature to the harbor is a new ferris wheel to take in Victoria Harbour sights.  In most cities this style of ferris wheel is large and rises high in the city - not so in HK.  It is just a small rise in the sky compared to all the buildings surrounding it.
