London UK - a perfect Saturday Afternoon

The sun came out, the rain stayed away and everyone got outside for the day.
Finished off the day with a Matthew Bourne Show and lots of conversation back at the hotel with members of several Olympic Teams....it has all begun in the background.
I got off to the airport before the torch run took over the center city for the day.

Nottingham UK - A quick trip in and out

Day trip up to Nottingham.
A beautiful train ride through the Engish countryside.  I forget, until I do it again, that the rolling hills, lovely cottages and villages are just absolutely lovely.  A complete contrast to the intensity of London.
Didn't get to see much - a drive by view of the "castle".  But Nottingham did have a lovely train station.

London UK - some sun between the storms

Took a bit of a wander between meetings and we were in one of the "prime zones" - Olymipic mascots were every few steps it seemed.  Captured a few for you to get a taste.
The City has never looked better - there are certainly more than the summer crowd around and it is as much as it can be to be in London.....

London UK - Olympic Fever starting to rise

Today is supposed be the busiest day ever at Heathrow Airport.  It is also a very cool and rainy day - only about 60F.
There are lots of people around - seems like more than the usual summer tourist crowd.  Should be an interesting week as things start to build up before the opening ceremonies in about 10 days.
Staying in a different part of the city this trip - a bit like being in a new city.  It is close to everything I know but I have to get to things from another direction.  Makes London feel new again.

Minneapolis to Plymouth - A Barney Sighting

Another Saturday and another 90F and humid day - and more to follow.

The great news was Barney came for a ride.  Haven't seem him yet this biking season and his is our role model for being a rider when we get further down the road.  

He has a new bike and made the 30 plus mile ride mostly unharmed.  Great to see him. 

Twin Cities MN - Another nice day everyone wanted to be outside

Another beautiful day and everyone was looking for a seat outside to relax and enjoy the day.  Also a great day to get in another good long ride on the bike.
