Spring break arrives. Dawit, out favorite Ethiopian, decides why go to the south and sun when you can head to Duluth and Two Harbors! We arrived to a beautiful sunny day - and at least 40F. The winds had blown in the ice pieces from Lake Superior into the Duluth shoreline. Despite all of Nancy's nervousness she led out out across the floating island to capture the amazing colors and hues created by the chips and the water and the reflection from the sun. Fortunately for all of us, the wind didn't change and we didn't float off to Michigan.
Lynn and Dick hosted Reenie's 70th birhtday party. A good time had by all. Reenie held court next to the fireplace. I had dish detail. A great night for all the family and friends - and a good time to all discuss the upcoming Saint Pat's Day activities!
Finally a string of days that you can get out and move around without the cold or the wind chasing you back in. And now with the switch to daylight savings time....there is a whole extra hour in the evening to take to the streets. A few rambling shots of things along the way from both of the Twin Cities.
