Auckland New Zealand - another great water city
Lots of water everywhere as you roam around Auckland.
Mostly sunny day with spurts of spitting rain - most of the rain happened when I would be half way between each of my destinations today. But then once again the sun was back out.
A couple feet of snow on the lower island - caused all kinds of flight problems for me yesterday - but I made it and the trip has been worthwhile.
Hope to be back when I have more time to take in more of the country.

The weekend bike ride - how I miss that - enjoying some time with the Melbourne riders
Sunday morning in Melbourne and I wander down for some food before I head to the airport.
Cool crisp morning - but we would have been out.
I picked my spot to sit and as I sat there four different groups of bikers wandered in for their coffee and treat break - great to see them and of course I jumped in and chatted with a few.
Got a recent picture of the Saturday Bike Club out for a ride - good to see that the gang is still getting out and enjoying Saturday mornings together. Look forward to joining in again when life brings me back to MN.

Melbourne Australia - A wonderful sunny winter's day
Sunny and about 50ish when it heats up - it was a welcome relief to the heat and humidity of our neighborhood in Asia.
Stopped at one of the pubs Friday night before the big AFL game and everyone was in to the Irish Cup that was on display in the bar - so they dragged me over and had my picture with it as well. Go with the flow is what I always try to do.
I wandered from the Center City down to the St Kilda port and then on from there. And then back up to the north side through the University of Melbourne. A very easy city to enjoy and wander.
Like Sydney such a great mix of old and new. And preserving old structures and building new within or or around the old one.
