Another solo day and taking in a bit more of the harbour and surrounds.  

Hobart, Tasmania, Australia - Ferrying off to an adventure

 

Met a woman while we were in Melbourne that said we had to go to MONA when we were in Hobart.  Didn't work out for the others with schedule but decided I needed to dive in and give it a look.  It included a ferry ride and then the adventure began.  The ferry itself was an adventure - not your usual city ferry - MONA special ferry.  I found the architecture and surrounds very interesting.  It starts with 99 stairs - so a bit of exercise too!  I found the art strange and dark - at least lots of it.  Beautiful spot to hang out and they have plenty of activities and performers to make it interesting to hang.  

Hobart, Tasmania, Australia - Up to the mountain top and dinner on the harbour to finish off the day

 

We went in two different directions for the day.  I covered the city and then hopped a bus to head to the top of Mount Wellington/Kunanyi.  Interesting ride up the mountain in our bus - tight road for sure.  

And definitely colder once we made it to the top. 

Finished off the night with a great seafood dinner before we split for the next 12 days.
