Sydney Australia - Always good to be back
Things are warming back up and everyday was a great day on this trip.
Some wind but otherwise lots of great sunshine and low humidity levels - a rest before heading back to the heat and humidity of Hong Kong.
The storm in Hong Kong was light but it brought in extreme humidity levels once again - need another good wind to blow them back out.
School holiday weekend so lots of people about and and indonesian celebration and a parade as well.
Hong Kong - The storm came - another non-event
The storm came in Sunday night - we kept waiting for it.
The center of the storm landed about 100k north of us so that is where the worst of it landed.
We have had much more impressive rains and winds when there was a lot less hype building it up - a bit like the 2 foot snow storm is on the way and nothing happens.
The city was certainly ready and put everyone on alert until into the next morning.

Hong Kong - A fabulous Saturday before the big storm
It was a great sunny day and possibly the hottest day all year - but the humidity was way down by Hong Kong standards.
A long weekend and a great Saturday to go with it!
And we all wait to see if Usagi, the largest typhoon of the season, hits us straight on Sunday or if we just get a partial hit. Should be a very interesting Sunday and Monday.
Despite all the sunshine we had extreme heat warnings, yellow fire alerts and T1 alert related to the upcoming storm - a full weather extravaganza in HK.

Hong Kong - the City of carts....everything would stop with out them
Hong Kong is a city of four wheel carts. Two wheelers now and again but it very much only stays operational because of the four wheel cart.
You see them everywhere. All day - every day. They travel East and West which is the flat routes and very much up and down - North and South.
They move all things from the major streets to all of the buildings and businesses on the side streets. And gets things up to all the high rises that make up the City of HK.
Carts a managed and moved through the streets of HK by everyone - it is not a young man's job only. You would be amazed to see the range of people that can manage a good size cart both up and down the side of the mountain.
