We woke up to rain and we were in the rain all day and once we arrived in Saint Paul. Long day but we made it and a short run home in the morning for Lindsay, Carter and Colton.
Tired or not, Carter and I hung in til the end of the late night hockey playoff game....not the outcome we wanted.
We planned to head all the way to Saint Paul but took the time to take the Milwaukee route home and hang out for a bit with Lizzie.
Before we started our road trip back to Minnesota, we finished off with some time at Lake Michigan and then a ride to the top 103 stories later.
A rainy and grey day didn't slow us down. Another full day inside and out - and even another long swim in the historic pool at the hotel.
Another road trip day with a few stops and then off for a four hour trek at our first museum stop. After dinner we were a tired bunch but ready for another day.
I got to join a long weekend with niece Lindsay and her two boys Carter and Colton. We were off on a road trip to Chicago.
After picking me up and couple stops we checked in to a waterpark in The Dells to relax and take in the park. 3 hours of waterparking later and 1 ride on the howling tornado we called it a night - and to quote Carter on the "tornado" NEVER AGAIN.
Rusty is in for the same meetings as Gerard. We found a nice chunk of time on Sunday to catch up. We last hung out about a year ago in Hobart Tasmania - Rusty and Ash's current home. Always fun to hang out with my Australia mates.
Great Saturday night hanging out with Gerard. We first met up in Cork, Ireland in 2011 and it was the start of a great work and long term friendship. We made a full night of it - never run out of things to talk about it seems.
