Left the cool and rain and arrived to the cool and rain. A whole lot more rain here then back at home. Still good to get away and get a bit of that NYC energy that you can't miss once you hit the streets.
Met a confused Brit at the ticket station and after getting his ticket sorted got him all the way to the stairs to his subway stop get off on his first ever NYC Adventure. And my hotel was just down the street - meant to be. Great start to the weekend for sure.
Hopped off my plane and as I was walking out we all saw this collection of most of the Newark Airport Police Force it seemed.
Everyone involved around the airport wanted us to just keep moving and ignore it all. Turns out a 911 call suggesting someone on the plane had a gun - rescanned the whole plane and found nothing so a long, long day for those fliers.
Katy and Gabri came to town so a great reason to gather. Started the chilly afternoon at Como and took in the Conservatory and the Zoo.
Something for everyone with this idea.
One more wander in the sun before heading back to the cold that continues to drag on.
Had an extra day fall in to my lap, so was looking around for a boat ride. Discovered I could hop the water taxi at one end of the route and ride it to the other.
After 3 record breaking weather days - 88, 88 and 84 - we were heading back to more cold and snow. The opportunity was there and off I went to enjoy some additional warm weather days.
Equally crazy weather here. The two days before I arrived that had 20+ inches of snow. It was all underwater. Mostly cleaned up by my arrival but still slowing down the airport.
Spring Break season is over but still plenty of people and things going on to enjoy.
