A day along the Lake and you know why people love and thrive in Chicago - Lake Michigan is such a great asset.
Rented a bike and got in an spin - Sunday is not a restful ride at all. Between the volume and then the varying speeds of bikers with the addition of everyone else hopping on and off the bike path, plus some cars coming and going, it is a challenge but the view and all the things along the way make it worth the ride.
Perfect summer evening as I wander in Chicago. Warm and humid but still a comfortable summer night here.
Lollapalooza is in town so the streets are full of concert goers from everywhere.
Back to the tennis tourny - great effort and a great match but Chris came up on the short end this weekend.
But the MN summer vacation trip was still kept alive. Big dinner and Attack Uno to finish off a rainy Saturday. And then tennis, bbq, boating, skiing and more - with lots of instructions and advice from all.
Great to gather with the "old" end of the brothers and sisters and all the rest.
Nephew Chris loves and is serious about his tennis. Worked out that he could enter a local tournament on his yearly trip to visit us locals.
Day one was a win. Great start to the vacation in Minnesota - and he got some new Vikings gear as well.
