Made it back in time to rendezvous with the Escobedo clan for dinner in downtown San Antonio.
What a cool, cool spot this was. The walls are covered with pictures, murals and more celebrating Hispanics. And it is a full on celebration of color.
And we loved the food as well.
Made our way to Corpus Christi and saw church steeples everywhere we looked. Didn't hit them all but did our bit to hit several in the oldest part of the city.
Then on down to the water and great waterfront area that extended from end to end.
We had an adventure day today - before packing the truck tomorrow.
We set our sites on Corpus Christi but the exit for Padre Island came up and we took it. Wandered all the way out to the National Park - and it was worth the drive. Beautiful spot and the wind made it cool and wonderful. Even waded in to cool down the legs.
Arrived to 96 and humid - and then things warmed up as the afternoon went on.
Anna wanted to go up the sky tower before they moved on - so we had a destination and the rest of the afternoon and evening filled in from there.
