Chose not to have the big gathering of the years past, pre Covid. But still felt the need to gather with friends over the long holiday weekend.
Great gathering. Lots of good stories, laughs and conversations about Covid life for all of us over the last 18+ months.
Back together again. Missed gathering last year with Covid, but did find out about the wonders of ordering a full thanksgiving dinner. And chose that approach again for 2021.
Cold but sunny day. Joe was dog sitting so we had access to the pool table across the way - it was a long, long battle to get to a champion team. Alex and Cheikh started out strong but Jimbo and Niketh finished stronger.
After the show the troops all gathered. Neil came north. Pete and Lizzie came south to meet us. And Long and other friends found their way.
Way too many laughs and stories and a rousing chorus of happy birthday to finish things off.
And then we were all off to bigger better parties, other shows or bed...
We had plans for a matinee show on Broadway but went in early to see if we could find something else to see in NYC - Eddie wasn't sure if there was more.
We found enough to cut it close for showtime but made it with time to flash our Covid cards and settle in for a Bob Dylan adventure.
Big day for Eddie and a great party to follow.
With Grandma gone and a couple more years for growth, it seems everyone is taller than Margie...
Turned out to be a great fall day to get a walk in and listen to the neighbors continue to blow their leaves. The city does a mass pick up so everyone is always doing it at the same time - and this year the pick up has not happened as of yet so lots of blowers going.
Took off south to meet up with Neil at the end of the work day.
