I never get to enjoy the great experience on the water and the quiet that can also come with that - usually it is a busy crazy even with family and friends. Another day like that but they were out on the boat when I arrived and I got a big bit of time to just chill, sit back and enjoy a day at the lake.
I discovered earlier this week that we have a new tuba player hanging out in the neighborhood. Interesting character that so far has been working in a couple block range - and a wide range of times of the day.
Maybe he is looking to partner up with our local bagpipe group and doesn't know where to find them - easy to hear them when they practice in the summer.
Meeting in Minnie so decided to wander along the river before heading off for the next event of the day. Beautiful and comfortable day - last one before we finally have started to get some real rain.
Yesterday was a lake day with Tim Cashman and Charlie Brown stopping by to hang out and enjoy the hot humid day before the "rain". Not much rain materialized - once again.
And then that was followed by a day gathering with the Hass side of the family at Gina and Mike's spot in Cannon Falls. A smaller bunch - but a great day none the less.
Eddie and Pete flew in and we hit the ground running to get this year's Minnesota Vacation going.
Great lunch, MN Vikings world headquarters, Lock number 1 and Minnehaha Falls - oh yeah, and the scooter. Finished off the day with Lowertown Sounds and some time with Dana and John and then off to the Saints Game.
Not a bad start.....
Who would have thought that Chicago would be cooler and less humid than being at home in Minnesota. What a great weekend. Got out for a long, long wander and enjoyed the day - and evening.
Perfect Saturday morning to get a bike ride in followed by an evening in another great city.
Gathered with another group on a warm Monday night for lots of laughs and conversation.
And after a gathering with some cousins on Tuesday, we took in some of the sights before heading to the airport to call the Neil and Christopher visit complete for 2021.
