Saint Paul MN - Thanksgiving 2020 Family Time

 

Despite staying apart we all made the time to Zoom in and share a few stories and engage in a few rounds of Psych....an online game.

We have had many plans over the past few weeks.  And each week they would change as the virus got closer and closer.  

In the end, we all stayed put and had a quiet day. 

Got the walk in first, then heated up the good (thank you Holmans Table) and then delivery.  Lots of meat and potatoes to the dorms and desserts to the houseful on Osceola.  Alex just crawled out of bed so no pic allowed.......

Cool, drizzle filled night but at least we have turned on the winter lights - get the season going early. 

Minnesota - Covid style 2020

 

Amazing how quickly weeks pass by with so little going on.  Still keeping busy with many things.  I covered quite a bit of ground before the Governor slowed things down once again.  

Got a full load of stuff to Lizzie to get to the East Coast.  And should have the storage bin close to empty by Thanksgiving.  Even got Greg out to be my "muscle" to load the vehicle. 

And continue to walk, walk walk.  

Minneapolis MN - Icy walk

 

 Last Saturday we biked and enjoyed happy hour on the deck.  This week we tried not to fall on the icy sidewalks and streets. 

Finishing off the day with lots of rain - hopefully cleans up the ice and snow.  And lots of wind tomorrow. 

Still expect a few nice days next week as we watch the Covid expand exponentially and count the days to Thanksgiving.  

Saint Paul MN - Happy Hour Day Two

 

Mary pinged me, to drop by and enjoy the evening on the 6th.  Great night to be outside - especially when you know it is November.......and we are the edge of being locked in with Covid and winter.  

We decided to go for day 2 today - as nice, or maybe even nicer evening.  

Minneapolis MN - Another 75F, another bike ride

 

Got out again - biking with 70F temps on November 7 - NO WAY. 

Today's ride will be more memorable for the moment.  As we sat for coffee in the North Loop Area of Minneapolis we started to hear hooting and cheers from the surrounding apartments/condos.  It got louder and continued to grow.  We wondered and within minutes my phone was blasting that Joe Biden had been announced as the 46th President.  

The ride home had us running in to people gathering on corners to cheer and celebrate together - in a totally socially distanced way.  Exciting day to be moving around the metro. 

 

 

Saint Paul MN - November 6 bike ride....no way!

 

75F today - how could we not get out on the bike and ride along the Mississippi, Minnehaha and the Minnesota waterways.  Great ride and great day. 

We have had some November rides over the years but we would have been all bundled up and anxious to get inside for a warm up.  We were happy to enjoy our coffee in a park and the sun. 

And then a last minute invite and off I headed to enjoy the warm evening at Chez Klauda.
