Trempealeau Wisconsin - the scenic route

Chose to travel a part of the Mississippi River I have never driven.
Spent some time in Winona Minnesota and on the radio they would always talk about Trempealeau WI - and finally I have been there, done it, seen it.

La Crosse Wisconsin - Quick Road Trip

Heard about a new restaurant in La Crosse and it is always a nice drive along the river to get there so headed out for a short road trip.
Lots of growth and upgrades to the downtown area since I was last here - especially along the river.
Lots of great old architecture and many things to do along the river and in the downtown area.

Saint Paul MN - Breaking into Spring

So we had a generally warm but windy weekend - missed the 6 - 12 inches of snow.
Got a couple great walks in - we actually walked to fast on Saturday.  Got to the coffee shop before it opened.
And then we hit Monday with snow, sleet, rain, snow, sleet, RAIN, and who knows what's next - and of course stray wild turkeys wandering around the neighborhood.  They are as confused as the weather.

Saint Paul, MN - Saint Patrick's Dinner

A group was gathered and we celebrated St Patrick's Day with an Asian inspired dinner with many green accents and Irish additions. 

Saint Paul MN - Spring Break time at Mac

Nam and Kristijan hung around over the break so we hit up Can Can Wonderland and a round of min-golf.
Safe to say, we all need more practice.  But lots of good fun.

Saint Paul MN - University Avenue wander

Had parked along the Green Line and took the train to downtown Minneapolis for lunch. 
Decided to wander around a bit since it was a nice sunny day.  And one step led to the next step and I had wandered through the U and then on to Prospect Park and eventually back to the LA Fitness in Saint Paul.
And our new soccer stadium is really starting to look like something.

Chicago IL - A bit of a wander to the near south

Took a walk along the lake and Grant Park.
Got to Soldiers Field and did the loop around that and then headed in to all the new development in the south and wandered back in the center.
So much new - so great to see.
The temperature is much the same as Minnesota but with no snow on the ground looks and feels so much warmer.
