Minneapolis MN - Christmas starting to show up

Another lunchtime, another walk through the skyway system.  A few touches of Christmas starting to show up.  And then as I arrive at the IDS Center a full fledge orchestra playing away and lots of people gathering to enjoy.
After all the grand spectacles for the Christmas Holiday in Hong Kong - a bit disappointing so far at home.

Saint Paul MN - Post Thanksgiving Mac Gathering

Got back as planned on Friday evening.
Saturday included not only the annual Saturday gathering with the Mac guys but Aunt Billie's 90th Birthday Celebration.
Usually a bigger bash, with the other event we went for a small gathering this year.

Norwalk CT - Getting out of the house

We decided we had sat long enough and made a short excursion up to Norwalk.
Our only planned destination was Walmart for some pillow stuffing - and we got plenty of that.
As it happened we decided on some lunch and drove across town and of course found the other Walmart in the same complex as lunch.
Drove through some lovely areas as well as tracked down this old historic country house - unfortunately closed that day.

Stamford CT - The weather followed us north

Neither of us recalled sunny drives to CT after our weekend in New Jersey.  This year we got a great sunny day - and lots of leaves still on the trees so lots of color as well.
Eddie was there to meet us on our arrival and the great weather stayed throughout our trip.
I wandered around with Tommy a bit and got my first experience and taste of Pokemon Go as well.
Long and Song made the trip up from the city to join us for Thanksgiving Day - and we all ate and enjoyed more than our share.  And it was a banner year for lots and lots of great desserts.

Long Branch CT - Pre-Thanksgiving Weekend one more time

Mom and I flew off, once again, for the Thanksgiving Week on the East Coast.
A bit of a delay getting off to Newark but once on our way Neil was there to meet us - and once again give us a scenic tour of the area on our way out of the airport.
Got out to dinner but otherwise lots of the usual drill - cards, football games and this year getting the Christmas Tree up and spending at least an hour trying to figure out how to turn on the lights.
And to finish it off "Trump - Make America Great Hats" for decor.
Warmer than usual weather was nice as well.

White Bear Lake MN - The Betty/Margie Birthday Dinner

Betty, Byron and Lara all came to town to celebrate number 61.  Another loud evening celebrating another birthday.

Saint Paul MN - Joe's Birthday Dinner

We went upscale this year for Joe's birthday dinner - Pazzaluna.
And we were joined for the evening by a good percentage of the Chicago Blackhawks grabbing some dinner the night before their big game with the Wild.
