Hong Kong - Running around HK with Mary Cashman

We had a grey, cloudy rainy day followed by an on and off again sunny day - sunburn to prove it.  

Mary Cashman, my cousins daughter, living in Manila came for a visit.  Great to meet her as an adult and enjoy Hong Kong once again with new and fresh eyes. 

Even got her a "cronut" - no line in HK.

We drinks at Ozone, the yellow brick road, Hello Kitty, Big  Buddha, Quay West and so much more.

She also got to enjoy and engage with my much younger team and see a bit of HK by night as well. 

Singapore - always a lovely experience where ever you wander

We got a few minutes and took full advantage of our break - Eames exhibit and a drink on top of the Singapore World.

Beijing China - heat, smog and people

They are enjoying a long and hotter than normal summer in China.  Unfortunately heat doesn't make the smog go away.
And it is summer in the capital.  So much like Washington DC there are people everywhere enjoying the sites.

Brisbane Australia - the view from the airport

Traveled through Brisbane on my way back to Hong Kong.
A comfortable layover - enough time so I could walk end to end a few times before I sat 9 more hours.
Enjoy a bit of my view.

Auckland New Zealand - too busy to get out and about

Quick and busy trip in to Auckland.
Arrived in the daylight and there are great views as you fly in to the airport.  Located right on the water.  The ride in from the airport is always interesting - highway, neighborhoods for a long time and then more highway as you come in to the center.
Not as sunny and a bit cooler here - a more wintery feel if you can say that as a Minnesotan!
Got out for a wander as the sun was going down and it was cooling right down for the evening.
Cool old cemetery very near the hotel - huge tall head stones.
Missed the "head on" typhoon in Hong Kong yesterday - so life is good.  Back to HK for the weekend.
